Unity in Help
Founded in North Carolina in 2018, Unity in Help brings together young people and adult volunteers who share a simple belief: when people unite around a common purpose, even small acts of kindness can create a lasting impact.
Our mission is to support individuals and families facing financial hardship, health challenges, educational barriers, and other difficult circumstances. We provide assistance that can improve quality of life, support healthcare and well-being, expand educational opportunities, and encourage small-scale ventures that help individuals build greater independence and opportunity.
Youth Leadership at the Heart of Our Mission
Youth leadership is at the heart of who we are. We believe young people should do more than participate in community service—they should have meaningful opportunities to lead, organize, make decisions, develop ideas, and take responsibility for creating positive change.
Through Unity in Help, young people gain hands-on experience in leadership, teamwork, empathy, civic engagement, and service while making a tangible difference in the lives of individuals and families in their communities.
Our youth-led model is designed to give young people a voice and a meaningful role in shaping the work we do. At the same time, they benefit from the experience, guidance, and support of adult volunteers and community leaders.

Unity in Help is governed by a Board of Trustees, which provides organizational oversight and helps ensure that the organization remains true to its mission, values, and responsibilities to the communities we serve.
Our youth-led initiatives are supported and advised by an Advisory Council, providing young leaders with access to experience, mentorship, and guidance as they develop ideas, plan initiatives, and respond to community needs.
This structure allows Unity in Help to bring together the energy, creativity, and perspective of young people with the experience and wisdom of adult leaders—creating an environment where youth can lead while having the support they need to succeed.

We help the poor and needy by removing barriers to daily well-being and restoring dignity.
Healthcare & well-being
We provide financial assistance for medical treatments, hospital stays, and essential care.
Education & small ventures
We support educational opportunities and small-scale ventures that build independence.

Unity in Help is entirely volunteer-driven. By keeping organizational costs low, we are able to focus our time, energy, and resources on the individuals, families, and communities we serve.
Whether we are helping a family through a difficult period, supporting essential medical needs, creating educational opportunities, encouraging economic independence, or responding during times of emergency, our purpose remains the same: to bring people together to help where help is needed most.
We believe meaningful change does not always begin with a large organization or a major initiative. Sometimes, it begins with one person recognizing that someone else needs help—and choosing to do something about it.
